matthew salvatore: i'm on lab 7
  matthew salvatore: finished 6 yesterday
  Ashok: i m still at lab 4 :-)
Rob: Truth be told. I did half of Matt's labs
Raja: rob, Apr 1 was yesterday!
  Rob: that was funny :)
  Ashok: ok..that will be great!
Ashok: are you covering anything related Alert?
Raja: Can you turn on our mic, please?
  Raja: ok, thanks
  Raja: Great!
Ashok: is there any place to import the data (columns, formulas, templates,etc..
)
Tom: M&R gives thisdata right Matt? report on collectors
Ashok: but we are replacing the sanscreen and installing SRM means we should get almost all the features
Tom: but not any more granular
Tom: Paul is there a doc to refer to
on this?
Tom: thanks Paul .. got it
Ashok: is there any place to import the data (columns, formulas, templates, etc) ?
  Ashok: yes, i observed
Ashok: but i m thinking copy from one server to other ( uat to prod )
  Ashok: ok..that will be great!
  Raja: snmp trap?
  Rob: procedure calls in cobol
  Tom: function call
Tom: so we should hide level1-3?
  Tom: ok thanks
Tom: did not get the purpose of it
  Tom: yes
  Tom: like an example
Tom: source data is from filtered node right ..got it
Ernie: Can you filter -> formula -> filter->formula-> filer- final result
  Rob: good question, Ernie!!
  Ernie: some what
Ashok: can you show one complete
example
  Ashok: zee
Rob: I thought only US had zee...
matthew salvatore: does SRM have the ability to do correlations?
matthew salvatore: excel can do it. wasn't sure if SRM had that in their formulas
  matthew salvatore: ok, cool. thanks
Ashok: why do we need to know future time ?
Ashok: is this kind of formula will be useful current utilization is 70% . so its going to reach 90% after 3 months as per the trend utilization
Ernie: How any data points can be processed within a resonae time period
Ernie: I have scripts that take 3.5 hours have a million plus data points
Ernie: Will we nuter tom cat >;_0
  Ashok: BTW,
 how old are you ?
  Ernie: older than dirt
  Paul: Mod 5, p. 21 - Demo 3: Misaligned Data

Ernie: Your url is asking for a login
  Tom: emc powerlink credentials
Ernie: True tom but I would have to find mine
  Tom: powerlink credentials Ernie
Raja: are we doing all 11 parts in Lab 8?
  Tom: yes I guess
  Tom: to Ernie
Ernie: It wil take a while for to find my powerlink stuff. May have been lost in my las reimage
  Raja: thank you..
Ashok: even i dont see IOPS under selected value
  Ashok: no luck

  Ashok: wait
Ashok: i can see there a step to define the arraysn as a column
  Ashok: step 1
  Ashok: its already there
Ashok: as you did not save
  Ashok: wait
Ashok: i think i had created undr vmax iops
Ashok: Paul, i added under parent, so is there any way to copy and paste it here
Ashok: great future!! copy and paste
  Ashok: browse and see
  Ashok: vmax array serial no
Ashok: sort is somethign else to assign the column to asc or dec order
Ashok: sort column is select and move up
  Paul: http://www.emc.com/techpubs/vipr/solutionpack_for_emc_vmax-3.htm
  Rob: Citi is implementing 3.6.1
matthew salvatore: yes. we've installed 3.6.2 in APAC, and are currently upgrading our MWDC infrastructure to 3.6.2
  joe: 3.6.2 we at mwdc
matthew salvatore: SWDC will be going to 3.6.2 after MWDC is finished and we confirm no issues
matthew salvatore: EMEA will be last
Ashok: 3.5 to 3.6.2 in EMEA
matthew salvatore: MWDC/SWDC are our 2 north american infrastructure locations
Ashok: Note: the Error value (%) shown is not due to any Reporting tool. The difference comes from the sampling method of the source system. IORate, ReadRequests and WriteRequest are all native metrics attached to the array, and from the same source.
Ashok: not getting the result...can you please elabrate
  Ashok: lab 8 part 1
  Ashok: step 9
Ashok: i got the output but dont understand how it come
  Ashok: yes
Ashok: so finally to get the error values, we need to perform some calculations on read+write requests & IOPS
Ashok: for any formulas we should use NOP to define the parameters
  Ashok: understand...got it
Ashok: Paul, need your help to check on something in my lab
  Ashok: its fine
Ashok: can you please connect my session
  Ashok: Dont know , why i can't see lab8- part2
Ashok: can you go to edit mode
  Ashok: i did everything in lab8 - part2
Ashok: but its not sshowing in browse mode
  Ashok: u r in part3
Ashok: need to check in part2
  Ashok: ok
Ashok: can u browse and see now
Ashok: but still part 2 is not showing in browse mode
Ashok: do one thing move lab3 to module6
Ashok: but it is showing the result
Ashok: do one more thing...just move to child node and try only parent node
Ashok: try to change the parent's report type to simple or list
Ashok: it seems , i had expanded in main
  Ashok: thanks for digging
Ashok: which means, expanding will be alwasy in child node
  Ashok: ok
matthew salvatore: i'm in lab 8, part 3. got pulled away briefly
Raja: did lab 8 part 1 and 3. In Lab 5 part 1
  Paul:  (name=='IoRate') | (name=='TotalCacheUtilization' | name='HitPercent')
Ashok: just done the suggested labs
  Ashok: Thanks and good night
  Raja: good night
Paul: Good night, Raja! Thanks for your excellent questio
ns today.
